Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder may find it difficult to go out in public.
Some learners may feel overwhelmed by the noise and activity associated with restaurants, a mall, or other public space.
Some learners may not have the patience necessary to sit through a meal or wait in a queue. And some learners have difficulty transitioning from the familiar school grounds to a new and unknown environment.

UNICA School recognises that outings are educational to its learners and that these outings also help develop valuable life skills.
Typical outings may be to an ice skating rink, shopping at a mall, having a meal at a restaurant, visiting the zoo, or grocery shopping.
From time to time, teachers may ask parents for financial support for costs associated with outings.
